Downtown Salt Lake City Walking Tour
This walking tour includes a variety of landmarks, museums, and buildings along a short walk that begins at Salt Lake's Rio Grande Depot. The tour includes both historic and contemporary landmarks related to the city's development, including structures that were built in that 19th century and modern facilities that hosted the 2002 Olympic Games. When the tour gets to Main Street, be sure to follow the route carefully to avoid the light rail streetcars that were part of the city's plan to prepare for the Olympics. If you would like to visit sites related to the history of the LDS Church, be sure to pause the tour when you get to Temple Square and take the Temple Square tour on Clio.
