Eagle Tavern

Historic Sites, Monuments, Landmarks, and Public Art (National Register of Historic Places)


The Eagle Tavern is of Federal influence and was constructed circa 1809. It was operated as a tavern from 1820-1829 by Nathaniel Gates. The Holzer family restored the structure during the 1930's. It retains the original glasswork surrounding the entrance.
