In 1912, when John Bertschinger purchased

the Eames’ house and drug store which was located

across the street, Dr. Eames moved his drug store

fixtures and merchandise into this building until he sold

the building to George Colomb in 1917. 

The post office was housed here in Colomb’s home for a time. 

Other owners throughout the years were Meyer, Oscar Kohlmann, Lee

Adams, Helen Olson, Brown, Smits, Cheryl Crowe, and

Fitzgerald. In addition to living quarters, businesses

have included a meat market, beauty shop operated by

Eldon Robertoy, a restaurant, gift shops and bakery.
