Established in 1875, the Cornell Botanic Gardens consists of 25 acres of botanical gardens and a large, 150-acre arboretum. Through its Natural Areas program, the Botanic Gardens also manages 3,400 acres of preserves in the greater Ithaca region. A wide variety of public programming is offered as well including lectures, youth programs, classes, and group tours.
