The Museum of Art and Archaeology was founded in 1957 as the Study Collections for Art History and Archaeology. Visitors to the museum can visit explore hundreds of thousands of years of human civilization with art and artifacts from 6 continents. The art collection spans from the ancient world to modern masters like Rembrandt and Salvador Dali and the museum offers programs for children and sponsors lectures for adults.
The museum was located in Pickard Hall between 1976 and 2014. It is currently located in the Mizzou North complex.
