Calvin Hoss Manor House
Calvin Hoss Manor House is located at 4743 Greenwood Drive, Jonesborough. Calvin Hoss (1812-1870) built this home between 1850 and 1865. Family tradition states that Calvin Hoss placed a jug of whiskey in the walls of this house. To right of this home was an attached log kitchen that held the community’s largest fireplace. This kitchen has since been torn down. This home was given to Calvin’s daughter, Fannie Cox, who lived in the home until her death.
