North Myrtle Beach Historical Museum
After many years of effort, the North Myrtle Beach Historical Museum opened in the former local library building in 2013. Its mission is to preserve the history of the area going back 10,000 years to the present. As such, the museum features permanent and changing exhibits that depict Native American history and culture, natural history, beach culture and the general history of the area. In addition to the exhibits, the museum also offers many educational programs for people of all ages.
