Founded in 1925, the Fitchburg Art Museum is comprised of four buildings which hold space for regional and contemporary exhibitions, and its permanent collection of 19th century American art and photography, African American art, and Greek, Roman and Egyptian art. The museum also offers various educational programs for people of all ages. It is an important cultural and art institution for central New England.
