Colonial House Museum

This historic building, constructed around 1730 by Memucan Hughes, is a local history museum operated by the Greater Cape May Historical Society. Hughes was a strong patriot during the Revolutionary war and operated a tavern on the first floor. The museum features the tavern room and Colonial era cooking/eating room and bedroom. There is also a research room that was added in 1930.
