This historic cabin was built in 1811 by John Coffee, an officer who served under Andrew Jackson in the Battle of New Orleans. He built the cabin as a wedding present for his daughter. Her family lived in the cabin until 1833. The house became the property of Richard Morgan in the early 1900s, and has remained in the Morgan family ever since.
