This Queen Anne style home was built by renowned local architect Charles D. Mitchell between 1890 and 1892. Dr. Gerry Dudley and his family lived in the home between 1920 and 1960, and the home still contains many of the Dudley family's furnishings along with the original wood flooring, stained glass, and other features. The home is operated as a historic house museum by the Coles County Historical Society. Inside the home are numerous artifacts, antiques, and historic furnishings. The home is not open for regular tours, but is available by appointment and may be rented for special events.
