This local and regional history museum opened in 2009 and is located in the former Burlington Public Library building which was constructed in 1898. The rotunda is full of displays and exhibits related to military history and the service and experiences of residents of eastern Iowa during the wars of the 19th and 20th century. The rest of the museum is divided into two main galleries, on focusing on the 19th century and the second on the 20th century. There are also special exhibits dedicated to agriculture, music, and entertainment, as well as a section for children that include a number of interactive exhibits.
