The Lane County Historical Society Museum offers a variety of collections drawn from local artifacts that interpret the history of Eugene and surrounding communities. The organization also offers special exhibits and programs throughout the year and a digital library of photographs, manuscripts, and other sources for historians and genealogists.

This small museum and historical society is staffed by several full-time historians and archivists and offers exhibits and activities throughout the year within this complex of historic and reconstructed buildings. The organization is dedicated to collecting and preserving artifacts and library materials related to county history. It is operated by the Lane County Historical Society. The museum's collections range from the early 1800s to the present. They are comprised of photographs, manuscripts, maps and books, newspaper clippings, and studies and reports. The society's long-term goal is to open a history center, one that would house the museum and other organizations.
