Mounds of the Woodland Indians
Item 33 of 52
Constructed from 350CE to 600CE, the Kolomoki Mounds are one of the largest mound complexes from the Woodland Period. Seven mounds can be found within Kolomoki Mounds State Historic Park. The park's museum is built around an excavated mound, providing an ideal setting for learning who these people were and how they lived.

Georgia's oldest great temple mound, standing 57 feet high, dominates two smaller burial mounds and several ceremonial mounds.
