The building is a renovated brick warehouse and stable dating to 1900. It was expanded to 15,000 square feet in the 2005 renovation, to provide space for galleries, offices, studios, and artist-in-residence apartments. In addition to private studios, there are also studios for graphic arts, glassworks, and multimedia. The architect's design incorporates industrial elements juxtaposed with natural elements including an ivy "green screen" wall, and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Hudson River.
