Alcoa Elementary School is a highly rated, public school located in Alcoa, TN. It has 475 students in grades PK, K-2 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. According to state test scores, 48% of students are at least proficient in math and 39% in reading. Located Directly on the edge of the duck pond, the location provides an excellent learning environment for kids.

In 2013, construction began on the old west plant site for the new Alcoa High School, Dedicated on July 20, 2015. The new school received the state award for School of the Year for excellence in architectural design. with 678 students, the High school is presently the largest it has ever been. When the new High School opened, the middle school moved to the 1964 high school building, the elementary school was reconstituted for grades kindergarten through second, and third. More recently Alcoa Elementary has added a pre-K option the get young children into the Alcoa spirit before they even start school!
