Built between 1922 and 1923 for Jefferson Lee Anderson, the five-story Mediterranean with Italianate influence hotel served as a stop-off for travelers, including celebrity guests of Wm. Randolph Hearst. The former hotel currently provides senior apartments above the first floor of commercial-retail uses. Designed by architect G. A. Meuss-Dorffer of San Francisco.
