Attleboro Arts Museum
The Attleboro Arts Museum was founded in 1923 and it serves as the community's main art and cultural center. It offers changing contemporary art exhibitions and hosts numerous performing art shows throughout the year. It also hosts various events such as lectures, poetry slams, an annual auction and an annual flower show.
Backstory and Context
The museum originally opened as the Attleboro Museum and housed art as well as Native American artifacts. Eventually, the two collections were divided into two museums. The art museum moved to its current location in 1994.
