Completed February of 2015, this memorial park is dedicated to Dr. Carter G. Woodson "The Father of Black History". The park is located near his Washington DC home, a National Historic Site, and the YMCA he walked to regularly for meals. Woodson spent the rest of his adult, educational and advocating life in DC.
